ST Logistics is proud to be part of Singapore’s ongoing efforts to become a City in Nature through the One Million Trees movement by the National Parks Board.
On October 2, under clear skies and perfect weather, we joined forces with fellow green champions, Toll Group and Japan Post for a meaningful tree-planting initiative held concurrently at Kampong Glam Park and Pasir Panjang Park. Together, we collectively planted 50 trees to contribute to a greener and more sustainable Singapore.
This is not our first tree-planting initiative—our journey began in 2022, and we are excited to see the trees from that effort thriving today. Each tree planted represents our shared commitment to sustainability and addressing the effects of climate change.
Guest of Honour, Chairman Lim Chuan Poh, highlighted in his opening address, “Sustainability is not just a goal for ST Logistics; it’s a responsibility.” He emphasised our ambitious commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 40 per cent by 2030 through fundamental changes in our operations. “From redesigning packaging for military essentials to eliminating plastics to participating in Earth Hour initiatives, these small efforts contribute to the bigger picture of a greener future,” said Mr Lim.
Our participants dove into the tree planting with excitement and laughter, with many relishing the joy of planting a tree for the very first time. It was a fulfilling experience, knowing their efforts would leave a lasting impact on future generations.
Thank you to everyone who joined us on this meaningful journey. Together, we’re not just planting trees, we’re shaping a future where sustainability is at the heart of everything we do—creating a legacy that will grow stronger with time!
